About Talking Stick Resort in Arizona

Located on the Salt River Pima Maricopa Indian Reservation just minutes from Scottsdale, Arizona, Talking Stick Resort and Casino opened on April 15, 2010, and was immediately a hit in the valley. From the start, Talking Stick Resort in Arizona has been owned and operated by the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community (SRPMIC), who have steadily expanded their offerings since 2010.

Occupying just over 75 acres in total, including parking, the property itself measures 240,000 square feet, 98,000 square feet of which is a casino floor. In total, Talking Resort Resort has just shy of 500 guest rooms, six conference rooms, six entertainment venues, and five different restaurants. For those hosting special events, Talking Stick Resort also has a 25,000-square-foot Grand Ballroom and a Showroom that seats 650 patrons. While not gambling, seeing a show, or working, the property also has a 13,000-square-foot spa, a fitness center, and four pools.

As one of the premier entertainment venues in The Valley, Talking Stick Resort has hosted major acts including Kaskade, Journey, Hollywood Vampires, Skrillex, Steve Aoki, and more. The pride and joy of Talking Stick Resort in Arizona, however, is its casino, which is one of the best in the entire state. Featuring over 800 slot machines, 54 blackjack tables, Three Card Poker, Let It Ride, a Keno Hall, and more, there is something for every type of gambler. For poker enthusiasts, Talking Stick Resort’s ARENA Poker Room is one of the best in the southwest, featuring 49 poker tables which include Texas Hold ‘Em, Omaha, and 7-Card Stud.

Is there sports betting at Talking Stick Resort?

Yes, there is Arizona sports betting at Talking Stick Resort via the sports betting window located near Sage Bar and the High Limit Room, which can be accessed daily from 8 AM to 11 PM. There are also 24/7 self-serving sports betting kiosks available throughout the Talking Stick Resort casino floor which make it quick and simple to place your wager.

In the traditional sense, there is no sportsbook-type lounge at Talking Stick Resort, but you can still place sports bets 24/7 and watch them at the half-dozen bars and restaurants throughout the property.

What kind of sportsbook is available at Talking Stick Resort?

Announced in June of 2022, OpenBet opened sportsbook operations at Talking Resort Casino in Arizona, as well as its sister property Casino Arizona; both in Scottsdale. The deal with the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community (SRPMIC) gave OpenBet exclusive rights to place their self-service sports betting terminals throughout both properties. OpenBet is powered by Don Best Sports, which is considered the premier odds provider in the industry delivering the best odds available in real-time, which are then managed by OpenBet sportsbook traders.

While Talking Stick Resort patrons can bet with a live person at a betting window from 8 AM to 11 PM every day, tucked away near the High Limit Room, it’s worth noting that there is no true sportsbook lounge on the property. Currently undergoing an expansion and renovation, it’s just a matter of time before there is a proper sportsbook available at Talking Stick Resort.

Until then, sports bettors at Talking Stick Resort can still place their bets on the property, and watch them unfold at one of the four bars throughout the property. The Palo Verde Lounge, located on the casino's main floor overlooking the signature pool area, is a great place to take in a game while listening to live music seven days a week.
