Game 1 Recap
Phoenix failed to cover the -8, and the contest ended under 225.5. The Clippers bench outscored the Suns 34-10, and Phoenix blew a nine-point lead in their Game 1 home loss to Los Angeles.
Clippers forward Kawhi Leonard torched the Suns for 38-5-5 on 14-26 shooting from the floor, 3-5 from downtown, and 9-10 from the charity stripe to pace Los Angeles. Eric Gordon chipped in with 19, and Russell Westbrook had an awful night but made a pair of defensive plays, including draining three free throws to seal the deal.

Kevin Durant led Phoenix with 27 points, Devin Booker chipped in with 26 points and a team-high five turnovers, Torey Craig added 22, and Deandre Ayton contributed 18 points and a team-high 10 rebounds in a losing cause.
The Clippers won the battle of the boards 49-42. Los Angeles dominated the offensive glass 15-6, but Phoenix had the edge on the defensive end, 36-34.
Series Odds Have Changed
Despite the Suns’ upset loss to Los Angeles, Phoenix is -190 favorite to win this series. I believe the Suns will advance to the next round, but this is too much juice to lay for this wager–especially when Phoenix is 0-1 in the series.
If you still want to wager on Phoenix winning the series, this is the perfect spot to use one of the Fred Bets.
Game 2 Odds
Los Angeles is a +7.5 underdog with a 226-point total when they play Phoenix at 10:00 and televised on TNT.

Tuesday will be a war, and my best bet is for this contest to end Under 226 points.
It will be a quick turnaround for these two teams, and the physical nature of this series leads me to believe Tuesday will be a low-scoring affair at Footprint Center.
Neither team shot the ball well from anywhere except for the charity stripe, and I believe the respective defenses had plenty to do with this. I also see this trend continuing Tuesday.
Leonard did a terrific job holding Durant scoreless in the 3rd quarter, and that adjustment likely won the game for Los Angeles. We’ll probably see more of that on Tuesday, which will keep Durant from beating them.
The teams played relatively slow-paced basketball Sunday night, which should be the norm throughout the series. Complaints of Leonard and Durant being gassed by the 4th quarter will ensure the teams slow down the pace as often as possible.
Finally, Tuesday will be a low-scoring game ending Under the total–the slow pace and the tremendous defense from both squads will take center stage, and the contest ends Under 226 points.
