The Las Vegas Raiders enter this matchup hoping to rebound from a 30-12 away loss to the Chicago Bears. Meanwhile, the Detroit Lions are also coming off a blowout away loss and hope the Ford Field home cooking will help them overcome their 38-6 away loss to the Baltimore Ravens.

Raiders vs. Lions Odds Analysis
DraftKings Sportsbook Arizona opened this game with the Lions, a -175 moneyline favorite. That number has now moved to -325. The number moved due to the Raiders getting thrashed by a bad Chicago Bears side. Raiders placekicker Daniel Carlson could miss this contest, and Raiders QB Jimmy Garropolo has a bad back.
The Lions opened as a -3.5 favorite, and that number has swelled to -7.5 (-108). That’s a big jump right past key number seven, which is not good for those of you wishing to lay the points and backing Detroit.
DraftKings opened this game with a 49.5-point total, which has plummeted to 46.5 (-110). The number briefly moved to 46 points, but as of Sunday, October 29, it is at its present 46.5 (-110).
Raiders vs. Lions Best Bets
This is a tough one because the best bet is for the Lions to cover; however, -7.5 is usually a wager a pro bettor wouldn’t make because it would be too easy for the Lions to win this contest by seven points, and we would lose the bet.
That being said, Detroit is coming off an awful away loss to Baltimore, and it’s safe to say Detroit doesn’t mind hosting Vegas. The Lions are 5-2-0 ATS but 1-0-0 as home favorite of -7.0 or more points and 2-1-0 ATS at Ford Field.
Las Vegas is 3-3-1 ATS this season but 1-3-0 away from Sin City and hasn’t covered a -7.5 point spread or better this season. They’ll get Garoppolo back, but they have the worst rushing offense in the game while allowing 2.3 sacks per game, and they face a Lions defense playing at home with the second-best rushing defense in the pro game and a 21st-best 2.14 sacks per game.
The Raiders’ defense has been darn good, ranking 12th in total yards allowed with a below-average rushing defense and above-average passing defensive group. Detroit boasts the fifth-best passing offense, led by quarterback Jared Goff and an above-average rushing attack.
Finally, the best bet is for the Lions to cover the spread, but it would be much better to wait and see if the line moves to seven points. Las Vegas has the worst turnover margin in the NFL, and Detroit has forced nine turnovers this season. You really want -7.0 or find an even better number ingame at Caesars Sportsbook, but I believe you can still win this wager laying -7.5 (-108) at DraftKings Sportsbook.
Best Bet: Detroit -7.5 (-108) at DraftKings Sportsbook
